Mechanics should collide.
Economy, ownership, infrastructure, social systems and conflict should affect each other instead of living in separate menus.
Night Circut Studios builds systemic games where ownership, history and player decisions matter beyond a single match. Our first major project is WorldNet, a persistent multiplayer network sandbox.
WorldNet treats the Internet itself as the play space. Players operate through GRID/OS, build infrastructure, create software, trade digital assets, form crews and leave a persistent history behind.
A persistent multiplayer network sandbox built around believable operator workflows, player ownership, economy and consequence.

Our design philosophy favors interacting systems over isolated tricks. The interesting part is what happens when players find combinations we never explicitly told them to try.
Economy, ownership, infrastructure, social systems and conflict should affect each other instead of living in separate menus.
What players build, buy, lose, discover and change should leave context behind and shape what happens next.
We build rules, tools and consequences, then give players room to decide what kind of operator they become.
Night Circut Studios is an independent game studio founded by developer Jordan McDonald. The studio is being built around technically ambitious games that respect the player's intelligence and reward curiosity rather than funneling everyone through the same path.
WorldNet is the first major project under the Night Circut name. Future projects will be revealed when they're ready, not fabricated to make the studio look larger than it is.
Development updates, Open Beta information, patch notes and major WorldNet releases will live here as they happen.
When there is something worth saying, it will appear here. Until then, we would rather build the game than manufacture announcements.
